What is TEDx?

In the spirit of discovering and spreading ideas, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxAlbury, where x = independently organised TED event. At our TEDxAlbury event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organised.

TEDxAlbury is here for the first time and we’re on the hunt for bold thinkers, powerful storytellers, and passionate changemakers from our community.

Entertainer call-out

We’re on the lookout for singers, dancers, comedians, poets, and performers of all kinds who can light up the stage in between TEDx talks with something meaningful, quirky, or joyfully unexpected.

Volunteer

Our location

Albury, known in Wiradjuri as Bungambrawatha, is a major regional city in southern NSW, sitting on the border with Victoria, hugging the Murray River.
